A natural and subtle look is always nice, but your spring nails are a chance to try out brighter, more fun colors. This doesn’t mean you have to wear statement oranges, blues, and chalky, floral pastels (though you can if you want to). Subtle, sheer nail polishes and tints are still very popular in 2026 nail trends. We do think there is a middle ground, though: spring nail colors that are almost neutral and creamy, with just a hint of freshness and brightness. For example, a milky lavender, a cherry blossom pink, or maybe a soft, lemony yellow.
Charlize Theron is making a case for the latter color, which she wore at Paris Fashion Week 2026 (which is all the proof we need that the color is stylish). So, if you really can’t think of any ideas for March nails, here’s why you should think about the actor’s “lemon sorbet” look.
A collection of stylish spring nail looks for 2026. The left side shows a close-up of a hand with soft cappuccino nails, and the middle shows a close-up of a hand with cool, light blue nails. Both were made by nail artist Mateja Novakovic . The picture on the right shows a close-up of a hand with sheer lavender nails done by nail artist Julia Diogo. All of them were on a white and gray gradient background with a blue and purple nail polish spill.

I know a lot about nail trends. This is the sheer and soapy polish combination that everyone will want in January.
A close-up of Digital Beauty Ecom Editor Aleesha Badkar’s hand with milky pink nails is on the left. A picture of Digital Beauty Writer Naomi Jamieson’s hand with short red nails is in the middle. Finally, a picture of Digital Beauty Writer Sennen Prickett’s hand with longer, cranberry-red nails is on the right. All of these pictures are set against a white and gray background with red and pink nail polish spills.
The beauty team’s nails for March are both timeless and very on-trend. They went from long gels to short styles.
Why we like Charlize Theron’s lemon sorbet manicure for March
As part of Paris Fashion Week, Charlize Theron walked the runway for Dior’s Fall/Winter show on March 3rd. She wore a black cape and leather skirt with a soft, cool-yellow nail color that really stood out against her all-black outfit.
Celebrity nail artist Imarni made the manicure, which we call “lemon sorbet.” It’s the perfect mix of wearable and creamy, with a splash of bright, zesty lemon color. You might not think of yellow nails as a good choice for a spring manicure or even just an everyday look, but Theron shows how easy it is to wear the color. Especially if you put it on top of a nail shape that is also short and nicely rounded.
It doesn’t stand out too much or look too bright, but it does look stylish. Plus, it’s a nice change from all the neutrals and sheer pinks we’ve been seeing lately.
Imarni wrote in the comments on her Instagram post that Theron’s manicure was done with Sorbet BIAB, which we think is The Gel Bottle’s yellow BIAB polish of the same name. If your local nail salon has the line, you can easily ask for the exact color. If not, or if you like to do your nails at home, we’ve found a few other polishes that will help you get the lemony look just right.
