It’s the time of year when winter turns into spring, and my feeds are full of nail trends from all over the place. Some of us are still holding on to dark, moody colours like mulled-wine reds and espresso browns, while others are already going for pastel manicures or delicate floral nail art. It looks like March might be a bit of a free-for-all when it comes to seasonal manicures.
There are so many choices that my nails need a full palette cleanse. A nude manicure that makes a statement without being too loud is the best way to start over. A neutral manicure doesn’t have to be boring. We’ve got the proof. It can be clear, milky, sheer beige, or creamy brown. Here are 13 nude nail ideas for a fresh start this spring.
1 / 13 Cloudy French
At the 2026 Golden Globes, Zoë Kravitz, a star of The Studio, showed off a “cloudy French” manicure made by famous nail artist Betina Goldstein. To get the natural look at home, start with a base coat and one layer of a pinky-nude polish. Goldstein uses The Gel Bottle’s Chiffon BIAB, but if you don’t want to use gel, you can use Dazzle Dry’s Rose Quartz. After that, put a thin coat of a milky nail polish on the tips only. Essie’s Arctic Jelly is a great choice. Finally, add a very shiny top coat.
The Glass Slipper
Goldstein also made the beautiful “glass slipper” manicure using clear press-on nails and a “mix of magnetic gels.”

Mateja Novakovic, a nail artist, says, “Rosé nails are the new classic nude for this summer.” To get the same look, mix a layer of Manucurist’s Moon, which is a pearly white, with Active Glow Blueberry.

French that you can’t see
The invisible French manicure is the dream of every nail minimalist. It uses a neutral base and thin white lines to make negative space. Alexandra Teleki’s modern take on the classic style really stands out.

Alyx Lippiatt, a nail artist from the UK, used Gelcare’s Cashew Milk, a milky beige with a hint of peach that matches the nutty tones of its name, to make this very shiny, very creamy neutral manicure.

A soft shine
Even though the snow is just starting to melt, we always love a little icy manicure. Lippiatt adds some sparkle to short squoval nails here.
Very Clean
A glossy true-nude polish on short square nails is the most soapy look there is.

A Lovely Mix
Don’t tell celebrity nail artist Iram Shelton to pick just one nail colour. Shelton mixes two nude colours for this silky manicure: OPI’s Put It In Neutral, a sheer pink, and Bare My Soul, a soft beige.

Coffee Crush
A manicure that doesn’t match will never be boring. With Halo Taco’s Barista Bundle, nail artist @lolo.nailedit makes a tasty ombré manicure with neutral colours, from espresso brown to an oaty taupe, all with a lot of sparkle.

Blur in Action
Do you like a matte finish that feels soft? Manucurist’s new Active Blur is all you need. This powder-pink polish is a beautiful manicure on its own, but it also smooths and strengthens your nails.

Ice Cream with Almonds
You can’t change my mind about how good OPI’s Put It In Neutral looks on all kinds of shapes and lengths. Exhibit two: this simple almond-shaped mani is perfect.
Swirl with dots
Nail art on bare nails is always in style. It looks both fun and classy to use white swirls and gold specks on a neutral nail base.

Ivory Silk
This creamy, opaque look is definitely more ivory than the sheer pinks and beiges we usually see in nude manicures. It feels especially right for late winter and early spring.
