Facial devices popularity has increased because they promise to shape lift brighten the skin. As a beauty editor experience, I have tried LED masks devices and radiofrequency skincare tools. The Ziip Halo device, created by celebrity facialist Melanie, uses nanocurrent microcurrent technology to support multiple skin benefits.
People have been raving about the original device, and now that the Ziip Halo is out, I thought it was time to try it out myself. But I’ll admit that when I first got this device, I used it a few times before putting it in the drawer next to my bed for a while. I haven’t used it regularly or given it a fair chance, so I decided to take it out of the box and give it a month-long test drive to see if it can give me a sculpted face and clear, glowing skin. After I tested the device, you can read my review and see pictures of it before and after.

What is the Ziip Halo?
The Ziip Halo device lifts, tones, and clears the skin using microcurrent and nanocurrent technology. The device is shaped like a small computer mouse and has two metal probes that carry the electrical currents.
Ziip Halo device works using microcurrent nanocurrent technology to lift tone clear the skin. The handheld facial tool features two metal probes that deliver electrical skin currents.
The two electrical currents work together to address a wide range of skin issues. This powerful device is all about improving your skin health at the cellular level while also making your skincare work harder and soak up more moisture. It can help with wrinkles, sagging, blemishes, pigmentation, and dull texture.
dual electrical currents help treat wrinkles sagging blemishes. The device improves cellular skin health and allows skincare absorption better for hydrated glowing skin.
The microcurrent is stronger than the other current. It stimulates the facial muscles, clears bacteria from the skin, and increases ATP production, which gives you an instant lift and rejuvenation. This is the kind of electrical current that can make your muscles twitch without you even trying.
microcurrent technology strength stimulates facial muscle tone, increases ATP cellular energy, and supports instant lifting effect.

The nanocurrent, on the other hand, is a softer, more soothing current that mimics your body’s natural electrical pulses. This helps skin cells renew and repair themselves, which makes your skin look younger.
nanocurrent gentle energy mimics natural body signals and supports skin cell renewal to promote younger looking skin.
The set comes with the Ziip Electric Complex Conductive Gel (£30), which you put on before the treatment to help the current get into the skin. You can also buy the Crystal (£70), Silver (£70), and Gold (£120) conductive gels, which are full of different skin care ingredients that can help you get better results and reach your skin goals.
conductive treatment gel helps the current penetrate skin. Additional formulas like crystal silver gold offer different skincare ingredients for targeted skin goals.

What does the Ziip device do?
The Ziip uses electrical microcurrent and nanocurrent (in the range of 900nA), which are good for the skin in different ways. It mainly uses nanocurrent to treat the skin and microcurrent to lift and tone the muscles in the face.
electrical facial currents deliver both nanocurrent microcurrent signals. The device focuses on skin repair treatment and facial muscle lifting.
What is Nanocurrent?
Lisa Franklin, the founder of Lisa Franklin Clinic Privé, says, “Nanocurrent is used to make our faces look tighter again by sending an electric current through the skin to stimulate the production of collagen.” “It does this by safely reacting with important skin cells and tissues to create kinetic heat, which makes the skin naturally make more collagen fibres and hyaluronic acid, which is the skin’s natural plumping and moisturising ingredient.”
nanocurrent stimulation process increases collagen fibre production and boosts hyaluronic acid levels, improving skin firmness hydration.
According to Franklin, nanocurrent also increases the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which decreases as we get older. “This lets your cells talk to each other and fix themselves while also getting more energy. This makes your skin look healthy, lifted, and glowing.”
ATP cellular energy supports cell communication repair and creates healthy glowing skin.
What is microcurrent?
Franklin, who runs a clinic where she uses a computer-aided cosmetology instrument (CACI) to give this treatment, says that microcurrent works in a different way. Microcurrent works by exercising the muscle tone under the skin, which makes the muscles stronger and speeds up cellular metabolism. Most people use microcurrent treatments to keep their skin looking younger for longer.
microcurrent facial exercise improves muscle tone strength and enhances cellular metabolism activity to support long term skin youth.
What is the difference between the Ziip and the NuFace?
There are a lot of facial sculpting devices on the market, but the Ziip and the NuFace are the most popular ones. Both use electric currents to help with signs of ageing skin, such as loose, sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. The NuFace only uses microcurrent, but the Ziip also uses nanocurrent. This is what makes them different.
facial sculpting devices like Ziip and NuFace both treat ageing skin signs. However Ziip includes nanocurrent while NuFace microcurrent only.
How to Get Ready for a Ziip Treatment
You put the conductive gel all over your face and neck to start your treatment. You should use a lot of it so that the device can send the currents into the skin and make the treatment more comfortable. You can also leave it on after your treatment is over. But I thought it was too sticky, so I would wash it off my face if I was going to wear makeup and leave it on overnight if I was going to use the device before bed.
conductive gel application is necessary before using the Ziip facial device. A generous layer allows current transmission better and creates comfortable skin treatment.
How We Tried
I used the Ziip Halo device for a month to see how well it worked. I used the device every day to try out the different treatments that were available on the app that went with it. I took pictures before and after to see how it worked right away and how it worked over time, after using it at the end of the month.
one month testing involved daily device treatments. I tracked before after results to measure long term skin improvement.
